Living in Leeds guide
For information on student induction please see the Living in Leeds guide and other associated information on the ‘Students as Leeds Residents’ page. The guide is primarily distributed through the Welcome to Leeds (formally get to Know Your Neighbour) door knocking exercise in mid-October. Over 1800 households were visited last year. This year we will be also distributing at pre-arrival pop up events in Hyde Park and at monthly pop-up events on and off campus. An electronic version will also be circulated through the Leeds Property Association (Leeds Landlords), and through social media and the website.

The University of Leeds has a clear responsibility to have a positive impact on society, something we take very seriously. It is important that all staff are made aware of the University’s Sustainability Strategy and how they can contribute to the sustainability of the University.
A link to a staff induction checklist can be found here. This a document for all new members of staff, and their managers, to work through in the first day, weeks and months of commencing employment, to ensure that all areas of induction are covered. The most significant issues related to sustainability at the University of Leeds are covered in this document.
