Knowledge hub

Building knowledge

Building the sustainability knowledge and capacity of our staff and students is a core part of our strategy. We want to equip all our staff and students with essential sustainability skills for the future and an understanding of how sustainability relates to their role.

This hub provides a number of resources to help staff and students develop their understanding of sustainability, improve their skills and learn how to apply this to their studies, activities and roles.

Staff Knowledge hub

Ensuring staff have the knowledge and capacity to operate sustainably within their roles is essential for enabling the University to meet our sustainability commitments. Most importantly we want to inspire our staff to engage with sustainability and make impactful changes within their roles.

The Sustainability Service have developed a framework for resources and training material to support staff in their roles.  This will be developed, updated and added to over time.

Visit our Staff Knowledge Hub to learn more about what courses and opportunities are available for you.

Student Knowledge Hub

There are a range of ways for students to develop their knowledge of sustainability, either directly through their studies or through the range of content available in our resource hub.

New students will get to hear about these opportunities during their student inductions, but students can contact us at any point during their studies to find out more.

Visit our Student Knowledge Hub to access induction resources and find out how to build learning about sustainability into your studies.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

We use the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework to guide our activity. Our work on the knowledge hub is linked to all of the SDGs.
