About me

Laura is responsible for the management of multiple Staff Engagement programmes across the Service, including our pioneering sustainability engagement framework Blueprint. Blueprint enables Schools and Services across campus to develop bespoke sustainability plans to identify their impacts and determine opportunities to create positive change. Laura also coordinates our Staff Sustainability Architect network, a community of engaged and passionate colleagues with objectives to drive forward sustainable change in their work areas.

Laura also leads on our Sustainable Labs programme, helping laboratory staff across campus to embed sustainability in their research and teaching, sharing best practice, and encouraging uptake of LEAF membership, and supporting its accreditation in all Schools and Faculties. The Sustainable Labs programme supports our Climate Plan ambitions and our Pathway to Net Zero.

Laura spent five years working as a Research Technician in the Faculty of Biological Sciences, after graduating with a BSc and MBiol in Zoology. She worked in collaboration with the Sustainability Service as a Staff Sustainability Architect for two years, before joining the Service as a Sustainability Projects Officer in January 2022. She worked on several projects in this role including Sustainable Labs, the award-winning Student Sustainability Architect programme, and delivery of the 2023 Student Sustainability Research Conference.
