Climate Plan

Climate change is one of the defining challenges of our time, and universities have a vital role to play in driving meaningful action.

Our Climate Plan sets out how we will reduce our environmental impact, support the transition to a low-carbon future, and contribute to global efforts to address the climate crisis. Developed through collaboration between students, staff, academics and professional services colleagues, the plan reflects a shared commitment across our University community.

Together, we are turning ambition into action, creating a more sustainable future and progressing towards our goal of becoming a net zero university.

Delivering Net Zero

Climate Plan in Action

Our Climate Plan is delivered through a range of initiatives across teaching, research, operations and campus life. Explore the key areas where we are taking action to reduce emissions, support sustainability and embed climate responsibility across the University.

Community and Partners

We work with communities, businesses, policymakers and academic partners to share expertise, accelerate innovation and deliver positive environmental impact beyond our campus boundaries.

Our progress

Turning ambition into action requires transparency and accountability. We track and report our progress against key climate commitments, helping our community understand where we are making an impact and where further action is needed

Get Involved

Creating a more sustainable future is a shared responsibility. Whether you're a student, member of staff, researcher or partner, there are many opportunities to contribute, collaborate and help shape our journey towards net zero.
