Leeds Living Lab's £50k funding call has now launched!
Got a great idea to tackle sustainability challenges?
The Leeds Living Lab has launched an annual funding call, offering a total of £50,000 each year to support collaborative projects that make a real difference.
Who Can Apply?
The funding call is open to all University of Leeds staff (e.g., academic, operational, professional, technical). Collaborations with external partners are welcome providing the lead applicant is a University of Leeds employee.
What Funding is Available?
The total pool is £50,000 which will be given through two award types:
- Impact Award (£20k-£40k): High-impact projects with potential for scalability.
- Innovation Award (£2k-£10k): Exploratory, early-stage ideas that engage diverse stakeholders.
The Themes for 24/25
This year’s focus is on behaviour change and sustainable travel - key to building a greener, fairer future. If you have a project idea outside these themes then please still get in touch to discuss it!

- Decisions Announced: June 2025
