The annual travel survey is now open for responses from staff and students at the University of Leeds and will close on Friday 9 June 2023. Whether you cycle, walk, drive or take the bus, we want to hear how you travel to and from campus.

The survey should take around ten minutes to complete and, to make it worth your while, you'll have the option to enter into a prize draw to win one of ten One4All vouchers worth £50 each.

There are separate surveys for staff and students:

  • Student survey open to all current registered taught students at the University
  • Staff survey open to all current staff and postgraduate researchers

Why is this survey important?

The University's Climate Plan includes targets of reaching net zero emissions by 2030, and reducing business travel and commuting emissions by 50% versus the pre-Covid baseline.

The travel survey is key to how we calculate the emissions associated with travel to and from the University for work and study, and will be used to inform sustainable travel planning at the University. We need as many students and staff members as possible to complete the survey to give us the most robust data to work from.

For the first time this year, we will also be estimating the emissions associated with students travelling to the University at the start and end of term.

By answering the survey, you will be contributing towards helping the University move towards a more sustainable future. Plus, don't forget you might win a prize!

Once you’ve filled in the survey, please share the link in your own University of Leeds networks, to ensure that we get the widest possible representation in the survey.
