Bioblitz 2026 - Bookable Sessions

On Friday 24th April, the Sustainability Service is hosting our first ever City Campus Bioblitz. As part of the global citizen science Campus Nature Challenge, we’ll be running a full day of guided walks where everyone can get involved in recording the wildlife they see and hear using iNaturalist.
We’re excited to be welcoming staff, students, volunteers, charities, and local community groups. Confirmed attendees so far include the RSPB, The Conservation Volunteers, the West Yorkshire Bat Group, Hyde Park Source, and the Wharfedale Naturalists Society, with more still to come.
No experience is needed as full training will be provided for anyone who joins in.
Session details will be confirmed nearer to the time, but book a space now to avoid disappointment.
There are five bookable sessions as follows:
- 10am-11am - Plant Walk
- 11am-12pm - Invertebrates
- 12pm-1pm - Fungi
- 1pm-2pm - Birds
- 2pm-3pm - Mammals
