Biodiversity Monitoring: Flower insect timed (FIT) pollinator-specific monitoring - 13 June

Take part in campus pollinator monitoring!  

We will be performing Flower Insect Timed (FIT) counts in which we will identify a floral region to monitor using a quadrat and count the abundance of pollinators landing in that quadrat over a set time. These FIT surveys are part of a living lab project and so we will be collecting data contributing to research.  

Meeting at the sustainable garden (adjacent to the Roger Stevens building) at 12pm on Thursday 13th June and Thursday 27th June. Sensible clothing and footwear is advised as the session will be based outside.
