Come along to our first biodiversity monitoring session of the year to learn more about the biodiversity on campus and how it can be recorded for research purposes on iNaturalist. You don't need to have any experience, just a desire to learn more!

Campus biodiversity recording started as a living lab project to map campus pollinators, but has now expanded to include a wider range of species including birds, bats and small mammals. These are observed, recorded and then collected on the iNaturalist programme to form a database of wildlife on campus!

Open to all staff and students, this initial session will begin indoors as an introduction to campus monitoring and how to use iNaturalist, before moving outdoors to explore campus biodiversity- so be sure to wear weather-appropriate shoes and clothes!
