Join Dr Robin Hayward, a forest ecologist from the School of Earth and Environment, for a tour of some of the most exciting and valued trees on campus. Along a 2km wheelchair accessible route, they will guide you to some of our biggest, most carbon rich, and most biodiverse trees, as well as exploring some of the research and management currently being undertaken at the university. The tour will begin outside the LUU (on the LUU precinct) and will take around 1 hour to complete.

Our University of Leeds tree trail was created in collaboration with the United Bank of Carbon to celebrate the massive value of trees to campus life. The trail highlights the value of hosting a range of species and the results of the i-Tree project - in which academic staff and volunteers calculated the total carbon stored by campus trees (over 500 tonnes!).

The tour is part of our Earth Day celebrations.
