Come and share your views on how we can help our students articulate and evidence their knowledge and skills as part of the University’s commitment to promote environmental and social sustainability through our portfolio, action and student opportunities. Explore with colleagues, peers and students how we may equip our students to have a positive impact in the world and contribute solutions locally and globally in an equitable and just way.

We want to empower both students and staff to engage with this work so they can benefit from having their voices heard and their needs considered and acted upon.

The workshop will be delivered by a student-staff co-creation group who have been awarded a LITE fellowship to shape our sustainability competences definition. Collectively we will consider sustainability skills as part of teaching, learning and assessment and student opportunities. We will explore inclusive, authentic and meaningful approaches.

This event is for everyone interested in considering sustainability skills and competences within their teaching and/or student opportunities whether this is something you have not previously explored or something you have prior experience in. We will use a holistic sustainability definition encompassing environmental, social and economic sustainability challenges and the interconnectivity across these.
