Community Ambassadors visit local areas
As part of our Welcome to Leeds campaign, Community Ambassadors have been visiting households in the local area popular with our students.
The team of ambassadors have been knocking on doors to offer advice and provide support to students around independent living, respecting the local community and staying safe.
Students have also been given copies of our Make this Place Your Home guide which provides lots of useful information about getting to know the local area, living sustainably, as well as the expectations for joining the established community of residents. The guide also gives information about the potential consequences if these expectations are not met.
Moreover, the Community Ambassadors have been engaging with permanent members of local communities around issues relating to sustainable living, community cohesion and useful support services.
The group of Ambassadors were out in local areas until mid-November wearing pink high visibility jackets. They’ll happily answer any questions that you have or direct you to the right support service if necessary.
