The Sustainability Service will be attending the Sustainability and Community Fair on Thursday 2nd February in Parkinson Court from 10am-4pm as part of the Fresh Start Festival.

The fair will showcase the wide range of opportunities to support sustainability and community initiatives around the University.

Come and chat to us about the different work going on across the Sustainability Service and meet some of our Student Sustainability Architects who will be there to talk about their projects.

You can also grab yourself a £5 campus catering voucher on the day for attending the fair and speaking to the different sustainability-related teams!

Here's some of things we'll be there to talk to you about...

The Climate Plan

Do you have questions about the University's Climate Plan? We can chat with you about our work supporting delivery of the Climate Plan and how you can stay up to date on the University's progress in delivering the climate principles.

The University's pathway to net zero

Our Climate Plan includes a target of delivering net zero emissions by 2030. James Dixon-Gough, Head of Net Zero Delivery, will be attending the fair to answer your questions around the University's commitment to net zero emissions and how this will be delivered.

We also want to hear your thoughts on how we can keep the University community updated on our progress towards net zero, and what you would like to know more about in future events.

The Sustainable Curriculum

Our Leeds Sustainable Curriculum has been developed by the University to provide a holistic approach to embedding sustainability across every discipline and provide opportunities for all students to learn about sustainability and get involved, and providing a sustainable curriculum is one of the seven principles in our Climate Plan.

Come and let us know how we can help embed sustainability in your studies!

You can also book your free ticket to join us at the upcoming Student Sustainability Research Conference!

Volunteering opportunities

Want to get involved supporting our community, biodiversity and active travel projects? You can meet new people, learn new skills, gain great experience for your CV and make a difference in our local area.

Come and ask us about all the opportunities available or follow us on Eventbrite for updates on our events.
