The Annual Travel Survey is now open for responses, and we want to hear from staff and students at the University of Leeds. Whether you cycle, walk, bus or wheel- you have until Friday 31st May to let us know!

The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and you’ll also have the option to enter a prize draw to win one of ten £50 vouchers.

Do your part - complete your Annual Travel Survey now!

Why is the survey important?

The University’s Climate Plan includes targets of reaching net zero emissions by 2030, and reducing business travel and commuting emissions by 50% versus the pre-Covid baseline from 2018/19.

This travel survey is key to how we calculate the emissions associated with travel to and from the University for work and study and will be used to inform sustainable travel planning at the University. We need as many students and staff members as possible to complete the survey to give us the most robust data to work from.

By answering the survey, you will be contributing towards helping the University move towards a more sustainable future. Plus, don’t forget you might win a prize!

You can read the Climate Plan Annual Review to find out more about previous emissions data.

Sometimes climate action can be as simple as completing a survey. The Annual Travel Survey helps us calculate commuting emissions, and given that one of our Climate Plan targets is to reduce and maintain commuting emissions by 50% of 2018/19 levels, it’s important that we accurately capture commuting activity data. To do this, we need students and staff to take action and complete the Annual Travel Survey.
