About me

As a current University of Leeds student studying BSc Sustainability and Environmental Management, Emma is completing her year-in-industry placement with the Sustainability Service. Her role as the Sustainability Project Assistant is to support the delivery of the University’s Climate Action Plan,  the ‘Blueprint’ programme to ensure schools and services at the university develop their own sustainable action plans, as well as sustainable travel and measuring scope 3 emissions.

Emma is also supporting the renewal of the University’s Fairtrade Award after working as a Student Sustainability Architect last year, where she led on organising the Fairtrade Fortnight campaign and presented at the Fair Trade International Symposium 2023. She also conducted a plate waste research scoping project to initiate work towards limiting Good Food at Leeds’ consumer food waste.

Emma plays Korfball for the University in her spare time, runs and likes spending time outdoors.
