Florence assists in the day-to-day operation of the bike hub, helping with hires and bike maintenance. The bike hub promotes sustainable travel in Leeds through an affordable bike hire scheme for students and staff. The hub also provides access to tools in the workshop and guidance from trained bike mechanics to get people back on the roads and trails of Leeds. Florence works with staff and student volunteers and supports the delivery of maintenance classes in the hub. Outside of the workshop, she engages with partner organisations across the city to promote sustainable, accessible and affordable travel in Leeds.

Florence was previously a postgraduate student at the University of Leeds. She returned to the university, working different roles in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Library Services.
