About me

Jane is the programme Manager for the University's Living Labs programme. The Leeds Living Lab supports the University's commitment to embed sustainability through knowledge. engagement, collaboration and innovations, and is a key part of the wider commitment to achieve the Climate Plan principle of delivering net zero by 2030.

Jane works proactively with staff, students and other internal and external partners to support and plan collaborative ways and test sustainable solutions and tackle global challenges using the University, our communities and the wider Leeds region as a testbed.

Jane has 20 years experience working in the education sector, firstly as a Geography teacher, followed by management at a nationwide educational charity, before joining the Educational Engagement team at the University of Leeds. Here she implemented a range of programmes and projects aimed at increasing the number under-represented groups accessing university courses within the Faculty of Environment.

She has worked on a number of successful projects with academics ranging from producing teacher resources to support decolonising the geography curriculum, to exploring how an app could help young people make healthy food choices.
