About me

Rebecca is a project officer for the University's Positive Impact Partnerships programme. The Positive Impact Partnerships programme supports the university's commitment to being a civic university as it applies its knowledge and skills as anchor institution in support of the sustainable development of Leeds. The Positive Impact Partnership programme is a key part of the wider commitment to delivering the Climate Plan principle of supporting a net zero city, through building bridges between organisations, academics and students for co-produced research, collaborative partnerships, and embedded learning opportunities that develop new solutions for climate resilience.

Rebecca has worked collaboratively with staff, students, and external partners (including businesses, schools, and voluntary, charitable, and social enterprises) to design research projects and create collaborative partnerships, participate in knowledge exchange on diversity and sustainable development, and to secure funding for projects.

Rebecca has nearly 10 years of experience working in the education sector, completing her PhD in Social Sciences in March 2023 with a focus on organisational change in institutions of higher education. She is passionate about research that makes a difference, and engaging communities in that journey of knowledge creation for mutual benefit. She is a skilled mixed methodologist, with experience in a variety of methods including survey design, interviews, and policy analysis. Her research interests include environmental psychology, organisational change, and emotions.
