About me
Romain manages the University of Leeds Bike Hub, one of the biggest of any UK university, which has been open of over 10 years. Through the Bike Hub, Romain supports our Travel Plan by providing staff and students the opportunity to travel actively through the hire of bikes. When he is not hiring out bikes, Romain manages and trains a volunteer workforce who provide mechanical assistance and training to anyone needing help with fixing their bike or needing any cycling advice and guidance.
Romain collaborates with organisations across the city and University to support active travel in Leeds. As part of this work, he continuously supports our on campus cycling projects such as STAR Bikes and Gryphons Abroad.
Romain has various degrees in Russian, Political Science, and a Masters in Sociology. After teaching university social sciences courses in Boston, Massachusetts, Romain moved to the UK and worked for cycling charities in Yorkshire before joining the University of Leeds.
