Student Sustainability Research Conference 2022

The annual University of Leeds Student Sustainability Research Conference allows students at all levels and across all disciplines to showcase their sustainability-themed research, projects, performances and installations. It is a great opportunity both to learn from others and to get inspiration and ideas for your own research projects.

Together for our Planet

This year’s conference took place on Wednesday 8 June 2022 with a theme of Together For Our Planet.

Together For Our Planet was the focus of 2021’s COP26 Climate Change Conference and is the driving force behind the University’s Climate Plan. It links directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Climate Action (SDG 13) is linked to all 16 other SDGs, and climate change is affecting every country on every continent. Tackling climate change can seem like a daunting challenge but with innovative ideas and collaborative new approaches, we can all reduce our impact and support climate action.

Live presentations, including a keynote speech from Professor Piers Forster, took place online alongside an in-person exhibition in Parkinson Court.  All presentations were recorded and can be viewed on each presenter’s profile page, which can be found in the conference schedule.
